I am very excited about the 2012 blog year! If you didn't know, we have been building a home in Alabama (Sweet Home Alabama), and it is ready...too bad we are not! Due to some health issues and upcoming procedures, we have to delay our return home. However, that does not keep me from doing some long distance decorating. Oh what fun we will have when I get to do a home tour, and decorate room by glorious room...with ya'll!!! Until then I will continue to pick up CL finds, paint, decoupage, and repurpose whatever I can get my hands on.
Now, on to a curbside rescue...
I found this rocker on the curb, just begging to be rescued! My plan was to paint it white and save it for the screened in porch....

Hey! What is wrong with me...I am a crafter, a repurposer, a creative
Modern art? Letter art?....You will have to wait to see what I did with most of it, but I did make something for my daughter with one part....Take a look...

Next I grabbed my daughter's favorite color....turquoise, and got to work!

This stuff sprays like a dream...smooth, even spray with no "spits"....covers great too!!
Okay, the unpaid endorsement is done....go buy some though, you will love it!

After my dreamy paint job....I added some bling from one of Amelia's silky scarfs...

Well I have seen many "frame" jewelry holders on Pinterest, so why not a chair...it already has the holes!

Ohh! Don't forget to follow me so you can see what the rest of the rocker becomes....

Hey, thanks for stopping by and leaving a cute comment. Yes, cute...you made me laugh! I do have a lot of lamps to make :) Or something else exciting! I already have a couple of friends who would like the extras so I'm not worried about that. Just not sure I want to part with them yet. It might be fun to think of other uses and those bottles are the absolute most gorgeous color!
BTW, just wanted to tell you that I really, really like your blog header and design. Very pretty indeed.
That is brilliant!!! I love what you did with the chair and love the colors you chose! Thanks to you, people are going to be tearing their rockers apart!!!
FANTASTIC! Way to repurpose those rockers!!! Happy 2012 sweet bloggy friend!!!

What'choo gonna do with all the other swirly wood parts???
Thanks Mom...I love it!
Turned out just fabulous! If you feel it needs something else (which is totally up to you, looks great as it is) my tween loves the bling of crystals! I have got to give you some major credit... I don't think I would have had the vision to use the chair back as a jewelry holder! Go girl!!!!!!!
